Smart Energy GB's response to the DECC quarterly report on smart meter installations

The Department of Energy and Climate Change has published statistics for smart meter installations for October to December 2014.

Responding to DECC’s latest quarterly report on smart meter installations, Sacha Deshmukh, Chief Executive of Smart Energy GB said:

"The national roll-out of smart meters is well underway, with nearly 1.4 million smart meters now installed in homes and microbusinesses. More than 1,500 meters are being upgraded every day across Great Britain. This new technology is transforming the way we buy gas and electricity and is critical for the future security of our energy supply.
