Smart Energy GB responds to Hitachi's decision to suspend construction of its nuclear power plant

Responding to Hitachi's decision to halt construction of its nuclear power station in Wylfa, Robert Cheesewright, Director of Corporate Affairs at Smart Energy GB, said:

"Today's announcement makes clear that Britain is failing to build new nuclear power capacity. It's vital we have a renewable energy system built on a smart grid requiring smart meters in every home, or we risk a full blown energy crisis."
